Timely, accurate cataloging is essential for speeding your acquisitions into circulation and for ensure precise, consistent access within your own catalog. Ingram combines an authoritative bibliographic database with customized services to meet the individual specifications of your library.


Ingram provides more than 100 different processing options customized to your requirements. Most orders process in 3-10 business days. Mylar- and Kapco-only orders ship in as little as two days.



Ingram and Better World Books have come together to help libraries turn old books into new books. As you weed your collection, Better World Books assists in surplus removal and sells or recycles those materials--nothing goes to waste. Better World Books then issues a credit towards the purchase of new books from Ingram for your library. This service is not available to K-12 Libraries.

Collection Development
Our Opening Day collection services are built on our industry-leading product selection. No other vendor provides the breadth and depth of titles that Ingram offers. But having the most books is pointless without the tools to identify the right titles for you. Our profiling program provides a clear picture of your collection needs while considering your timeline and budget.


We listen to the specifics of your project, and then create customized selection lists in an electronic, user-friendly format. The program allows you to view and edit your lists in several different ways and includes comprehensive data (bibliographic information, review citations, series lists, annotations, and more) for each title.


Cataloging & Processing
With more than 100 different processing options for books, audio books, video, and DVDs, we can customize processing to meet your requirements. Options include Mylar® jackets, theft detection including RFID, spine labels, book pockets, property stamps, date-due cards, bar codes, and paperback pre-binding.


Ingram’s authoritative cataloging database, provides fully encoded cataloging records with Sears or LC subject headings via FTP, ipage®, or diskette. Records includes the entire LC MARC database with millions of records, in addition to many created by Ingram’s MLS-degreed catalogers.


Shelf Ready
Ingram's shelf-ready collections include not only processing but also storage and shipment in Rough or Strict Dewey Sort. Your profiles are closely followed so that your collection arrives ready to be placed on the shelves in time for opening day.
