Two Rivers Distribution Signs Four New Publishing Clients

March 29, 2021

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (March 3, 2021)– Two Rivers Distribution®, a brand of Ingram Content Group (Ingram), announced the addition of four new clients to its global sales and distribution network effective spring 2021: Platform Books LLC, LIFELINES, G Editions, and Girl Friday Books.

“These four publishers represent prominent and emerging voices in their respective fields. Melissa and Doug is a household name, and we’re thrilled to help Melissa launch LIFELINES, a new program with such an important mission,” said Nick Parker, Director, Two Rivers Distribution. “The other three are led by successful publishing executives starting new ventures. We are proud to welcome these outstanding publishers to Two Rivers.”

Platform Books LLC is a new publishing venture from publishing industry veteran Peter Osnos and his wife, Susan Sherer Osnos. Peter Osnos is best known to the publishing industry as an editor and publisher at Random House and Perseus and the founder of PublicAffairs. Platform's first book will be An Especially Good View: Watching History Happen by Osnos himself which will cover half century of journalism and publishing, as well as offer personal experiences. It will be published in June 2021, and Paul Golob, formerly of Henry Holt, and Lisa Kaufman, formerly of PublicAffairs, will serve as its editors as part of their freelance portfolios.

LifeLines, LLC is a mental wellness company whose mission is to guide people’s journey inward to self-discovery and meaning. Their recently published book, LIFELINES, is based on the personal journey of Melissa Bernstein, the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Melissa & Doug, the wildly successful half-billion-dollar toy company whose creations have brought joy to families everywhere. Despite her outward success, Melissa only found meaning, purpose and peace when she plunged deep inside her soul to finally understand and accept her authentic self. LifeLines will offer tools, experiences, content, and above all – community – for those seeking to embark on their own journey inward. Melissa decided to focus her attention on this mission since now more than ever she is seeing many people struggle with feelings of loneliness, isolation, and depression, and her goal is to support as many people as possible, beginning with the release of her book, LIFELINES

G Editions, a new independent publisher of illustrated books, principally in the areas of art and photography, with a focus on fine art and photography monographs along with author-centric titles in the gift categories, has been launched by its CEO Marta Hallett. The company is intending to publish approximately 12 titles per year, each demonstrating strong editorial content at its core with high design and production values, allowing good crossover into the gift markets. G Editions will be distributed by Ingram’s Two Rivers, with the first titles to launch in Spring 2021.

Girl Friday Books(GFB) is the long-awaited publishing arm of premier West Coast book producer, Girl Friday Productions, offering the best of independent voices. From a lush photographic recounting of one veterinarian’s quest to save the great apes to never-before-told stories of the horror and heroism at the Pentagon on 9/11, the authors of GFB add depth to the national conversation.

Two Rivers Distribution will also be distributing Girl Friday’s other imprints, Bird Upstairs and Flashpoint. Because every child deserves to see themselves in a book, Bird Upstairs focuses on diverse storytelling and exquisite illustration. From gentle stories on love and loss to energetic books for kids who ”gonna move, gotta bounce,” Bird Upstairs reflects both the complexity and joy of being a kid. Flashpoint is a dynamic publishing partner for cultural icons, individuals with influence, and beloved brands. In 2021, those include Below Deck’s Bugsy Drake and Grace and Frankie, the hit comedy series. Today’s brands rise to the top by creating their own rules, and Flashpoint honors their creative vision, transforming it into books that ignite.
