The ALA 2023 Conference quickly approaches, and Ingram Library Services looks forward to seeing many of our library friends in Chicago. This year, Ingram is sponsoring the Diversity Pavilion and Diversity in Publishing Stage in the exhibit hall and the Intellectual Freedom event Unite Against Book Bans! A Rally for the Right to Read.
Visit the Diversity in Publishing Pavilion in booth #4029 to find inclusive titles from a variety of publishers on display, and check out the wide range of programs on diverse titles and topics on the Diversity in Publishing Stage. Questions about where to get these titles or find an effective, efficient diversity audit in iCurate® inClusive or complimentary diverse title lists created by our Collection Development librarians? Visit the Ingram Library Services booth in #3026!
Join us to honor the courage and resilience of America's librarians and their persevering work to protect the freedom to read. Beginning at 6 pm, program attendees will hear from inspiring speakers and recognize the 2023 recipients of the FTRF Roll of Honor Award, the Eli M. Oboler Award, the Gerald Hodges Intellectual Freedom Chapter Relations Award, and the John Phillip Immroth Award.
At 8 pm, a catered cocktail reception will provide a much-needed opportunity to come together in solidarity against censorship. A ticket to attend the catered reception is strongly encouraged but not required. Space is limited, and those with a ticket will receive priority admission. Due to security concerns, attendees will not be admitted without an ALA Annual Conference badge. Reserve your free ticket here.
Admission is free, but support of our important mission to fight censorship is much appreciated. After reserving your ticket, please consider a voluntary donation to Unite Against Book Bans at https://ec.ala.org/donation/OIF-0625-UABBFD.
