November 1, 2021

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN (November 1, 2021)—Consortium® Book Sales & Distribution, an Ingram Content Group brand, announces three new publishers for the Spring 2022 season: CLASH Books, Little Island Books, and Saraband Ltd. They will begin sales and distribution with Consortium on January 3.

“These three publishers bring an exciting mix of high quality literary and experimental fiction, nonfiction, children’s literature, and environmental writing to our list,” said Julie Schaper, Vice President, Ingram Publisher Services – Consortium. “We’re delighted to add them to our roster of award-winning publishers.”

CLASH Books is an independent press based in Troy, New York that highlights diverse and unique voices in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art books spanning multiple genres and topics including literary fiction, horror, hybrid, humor, and music culture. Key forthcoming titles include The Bee & the Fly: The Improbable Correspondence of Louisa May Alcott & Emily Dickinson by Lorainne Tosiello & Jane Cavolina, Life of the Party by Tea Hacic-Vlahovic, and Gag Reflex by Elle Nash.

Little Island Books, founded in 2011 by author Siobhán Parkinson, Ireland's inaugural children's laureate, is an independent Dublin-based press publishing the best innovative writing for young readers, from toddlers to teens. They specialize in high quality fiction and non-fiction that can change young lives, with the mantra that books create waves. Spring titles include Wolfstongue by Sam Thompson and illustrated by Anna Tromop, A Short, Hopeful Guide to Climate Change by Oisín McGann, and Baby Teeth by Meg Grehan.

Saraband Ltd is an award-winning independent publisher of outstanding fiction, absorbing nature writing, pressing environmental issues, and compelling biographies and memoir—books that inspire, inform, and entertain, often by emerging voices from Scotland and northern England. They were originally incorporated in the USA in 1994 and relocated to the United Kingdom in 2000. Their authors have won or been nominated for numerous prestigious awards including the Paul Torday, Rathbones Folio, Wainwright Nature Prize, and the Booker Prize. Select forthcoming titles include Extraction to Extinction by David Howe, In a Veil of Mist by Donald Murray, and the Desmond Elliott Prize-nominated novel, Castles from Cobwebs by J.A. Mensah.
