Ingram Content Group Launches Consumer Marketing Services

February 10, 2022

Nashville, TN (February 10, 2022) – Following several years of proprietary development and strategic investment, Ingram Content Group (Ingram) announced today the launch of a suite of consumer marketing services to help publishers reach readers directly.

Over the last few years, Ingram built a database of millions of “Verified Readers” – known book lovers segmented into book categories – that publishers can now reach through exclusive consumer-targeting tools and services. Ingram has a deep understanding of the book market and a track record of building scalable technology and services to help publishers sell more books. The new direct-to-consumer marketing program builds on that expertise.

Spanning the marketing lifecycle of a book — from understanding how and where to reach readers, to providing real-time insights and recommendations, to offering full-service marketing and analytics — Ingram’s direct-to-consumer offerings increase the power of publishers’ digital marketing strategies and sales potential.

These services are available now with more coming throughout 2022:

  • Marketing Advantage: a customizable, full-service marketing offer that provides digital marketing strategy and execution for frontlist campaigns and backlist catalogs alongside metadata analysis and optimization.
  • Reader Insights Reports: in-depth, downloadable audience profiles that enable publishers to identify the who, what, and where of their target readers.
  • Marketing Insights: an analytics platform that helps publishers find high-value opportunities within their lists.

Ingram’s exclusive and growing audience of millions of Verified Readers is accessible only through Ingram’s new reader platform. Select publishers are currently using the platform and soon hundreds more will gain access to the reader platform to drive book sales.

“Ingram puts publishers in the driver’s seat when it comes to reaching readers around the world. We want to help publishers grow sales in a rapidly evolving industry that is increasingly reliant on direct marketing.” said Kim Schutte, Ingram’s Director of Consumer Marketing.
