NASHVILLE, TENN (January 19, 2023) - Ingram Content Group (“Ingram”) announces Carolyn Morris as the new Vice President of Ingram Library Services.

With more than 20 years of experience in the library industry, including a previous role at Ingram, Morris returns to oversee Ingram’s library business unit managing sales, collection development, strategic alliances and technical services along with products and services for public, K-12 school and specialty libraries.

“I am excited to be rejoining Ingram at this crucial juncture for libraries. With unmatched on-hand inventory, cutting-edge distribution technology and a team of library professionals delivering value-added services, the company offers libraries a dependable and library-friendly source of supply,” said Morris.

“Carolyn brings great experience and leadership in the library business. Her expertise in the industry is unmatched and we are thrilled that she has come back to Ingram,” says Phil Ollila, Chief Commercial and Content Officer of Ingram Content Group.

Having worked with both public and academic libraries on collection development, acquisitions workflows, discovery and digital strategy, Morris most recently served as Director of Content Solutions at SirsiDynix where she launched a platform that enables libraries to take advantage of the wealth of available Open Access content. Prior to that, she held roles at BiblioLabs and Baker &Taylor where she worked to build and sell digital products. Morris has also volunteered her time with Jaipur Literature Festival developing and implementing outreach programming and will be serving on the board of Book’em, a Nashville-based literacy non-profit.

Morris holds a BA in History from Middlebury College in Vermont, is a current member of the American Library Association and serves as co-chair of the Publisher, Vendor, Library Relations Interest Group.

Morris steps into this role previously held by Pamela Smith who retired at the end of 2022 after 12 years of dedicated service. Ingram is thankful for Smith’s contributions and vision in leading Ingram Library Services.
