PGW Welcomes Canongate Back in North America

May 31, 2017

BERKELEY, CALF. – Publishers Group West, an Ingram brand, announces the addition of Canongate Books for distribution in US and Canada

Canongate Books has signed a new distribution deal with Publishers Group West to launch in the North American market starting with the Fall season.

“Canongate Books is an acclaimed UK publisher with a strong title list and reputation. Their publishing program remains as inspired as ever and I know our sales team is thrilled to have the opportunity to read and sell this wonderful list again,” said Kevin Votel, VP Business Development, PGW. “I have no doubt that we’re going to help them secure their presence in North America while having some fun in the process.”

Canongate is launching their Fall list with a dozen new titles that include Darke, Rick Gekoski’s highly acclaimed debut novel; The Art of Losing Control, a sublime exploration of the history of the ecstatic by Jules Evans; Olivia Laing’s prize-winning To the River, musician and creativity guru Jamie Catto’s Insanely Gifted and Undying and Michel Faber’s heartbreaking first volume of poetry.

“To be reunited with PGW, with whom we had a long and happy relationship through our partnership with Grove Atlantic, is a huge thrill. The fact that they are now part of Ingram makes them an even more formidable sales and distribution partner, and we feel bullish about what we can achieve together with our eclectic and exciting list in North America. It feels like a perfect match in all respects,” said Jamie Byng, C.E.O., Canongate Books.

Canongate will be available through PGW as of June 1, 2017.
